Goss Acres Banner

After two years, Goss Acres has wrapped. We're heading into post now and are looking to a summer 2011 release.

Thanks to Angela Steele Bowers, Jim Dougherty, Ted LeBlang, Dane Rogers, Amy Pettinella, Baron von Imhoof, Ed Xavier Maudlin, Amanda Lynn Meyer, Angela Condon, Keith Barber, Brent Coffing and Desiree Conn.

We hit many bumps along the way but the amazing cast always kept me going. If you make films in the Midwest and you're not using this pool of talent, you're missing out on great work and great fun.

New Project: In The Box PDF Print E-mail
Written by 25 North Administrator

25 North Filmwurks is pleased to announce it's latest project, the web series In The Box.

In The Box is a crime show but only in name. Each webisode has a different cast and the crime is only a canvas on to which the real story is painted.

Currently scheduled webisodes are Person Of Interest starring Dana McVicker, Marc-Alan Barnette and Dillon Heath and Anniversary Waltz starring Julie Powers, Susan Freeman and Adam Shephard. Casting on a third webisode Mens Immunda will take place this spring via the 25 North mailing list.

The current plan is to get a minimum of six webisodes out this year, and this goal looks more than achievable.

The idea of doing a web series came up as we were finishing post on our short film, Slow River. We could see that once we were done, most people wouldn't be able to see it because we needed to keep it off the net to meet some festival requirements. We wanted something that we could not only show right away but that could showcase a wide range of talent without taxing any individuals' time too harshly.

As always we try to concentrate on the story, to provide both the performers and the audience with a rewarding experience.

More info regarding new episodes will posted here.

FAQ Regarding Upcoming Auditions PDF Print E-mail
Written by 25 North Administrator
Monday, 04 May 2009 00:00
We've been receiving loads of email regarding the auditions for the Goss Acres and In The Box projects. A few questions have come up repeatedly so we thought we'd post the answers here for everyone's information. If anyone has any other questions, feel free to ask.

Q: Are lead parts still available?
A: The leads in Goss Acres have been cast. We still have leads available for multiple episodes of In The Box and new episodes are constantly being written, so new leads are constantly being created.

Q: Is this a union project?
A: Neither Goss Acres nor In The Box are union projects.

Q: Are sides/more information available for the parts?
A: All of the parts we will provide are to be read cold. This allows us to gauge and actors ability to jump easily into a character. We realize that a cold read may not allow every actor to give their best performance. That is why we are asking everyone to also bring a prepared piece.

Q: I am an older actor. Are there parts available for someone my age?
A: Absolutely! We believe that too much of film is devoted to the young hardbody set. We value the experience that older actors bring to the table and have consistently focused on actors of all ages.

Q: I am under the age of 18. Can I still audition?
A: Yes. Over time, there will be a few parts in In The Box for young teens. Please be advised that you must bring a parent with you to sign a release. Anyone under the age of 18 without a parent will be turned away.
